CDrun is a skinnable freeware Audio CD player for Windows. It resides in a system tray and doesn’t use the huge amount of memory and CPU time. It is small but has everything you need to play the music. And it is freeware. CDrun is free skinnable Audio CD player for Windows. It minimizes to the system tray and is not resource intensive.

CDrun is a light-weight, but still fully functional cd player including some nice extras as follows:

  • Ability to use a freedb-based CD database – normally the program is using a random freedb-server but you can select a specific one if you want to
  • Change the default cd player – whether you want to change it to a totally different one or set CDrun as your favorite default player
  • Use hotkeys to control the program when it is minimized to the traybar
  • Change it’s look and feel using skins
  • Create your own skins in no matter of time
  • Adjust volume using your mouse wheel
  • Well hidden, but good CD database editor (do a right click on the player (normal view) and select Database Editor)
  • Doesn’t waste huge amounts of your valuable memory and cpu time like other player
  • CDrun is licensed as freeware, thus you may copy it for free but not modify it in any way.

System Requirements:

  • Windows 32-bit operating system (95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP)
  • Winsock2 must be installed on Windows 95
  • CDROM device
  • Minimum: 486DX CPU with 8Mb of memory
  • 640×480 256 color screen resolution
  • Recommended: any Pentium, AMD-K5 or above class CPU
  • At least 16 bit screen resolution
