TribalWeb is a software that allow you to exchange files with your friends on a private network. You are the one creating your private network by inviting your friends. Noone can join your network unless you invited him. You can dismiss or banish your guests at any time. Your guests can't see each other on your network.

The search feature helps you find files from your whole network or from a particular user. For example, you can look for any picture (*.jpg) available from one of your friend. Much better, you can see a thumbnail of those pictures to help you decides which are worth downloading. A chat window is available to send messages to a user or to your whole network.

On your network, you'll be exchanging files in peer2peer - directly from a computer to another. Exchanged files are encrypted the moment they leave your computer and decoded on the receiving computer. No data is sent to our server during or after the transfer. This architecture ensure a complete privacy and let you the entire responsability of the content being exchanged. You can transfer as many files as you whish, whatever their size (Huge movies won't be a problem any more). Broken transfers automatically resume with no data loss.

• New Premium feature: audio files pre-reading
  Audio files can now be played with Windows Media Player while being downloaded .
• Free version: The window with the number of days you’ve been using TribalWeb can be skipped almost instantly
  Users of the free version won’t have to wait anymore to go to the last connection step.
• The translation tool for TribalWeb is available
  The translation tool (Langedit) is delivered with TribalWeb. One can now translate the software in many languages
• Free version: the maximum number of files being downloaded at the same time is limited to 1.
  Only 1 file can be downloaded at the same time with the free version. The maximum number of uploads remains unlimited.
• Bugs corrections:
  - Files which download has been paused will remain paused even after TribalWeb has restarted.
  - Recipient selection now works properly. You may select a user name by right clicking on its name in the chat window.
  - There should be no more users appearing disconnected while they are not.
  - TribalWeb could crash when clicking on the « Transfers » tab : fixed.
  - The excess CPU use is now fixed.
  - Shared folders became invisible if one’s PC remained switch on for many days : fixed.
  - TribalWeb crashed if the Transfer option window was opened when a disconnection occurred.
  - There is now a scroll bar to select a user name in the “Search” tab.
  - Bug correction with the multisource download.
  - The news window displayed at startup did not appear every time : fixed
