ACDC's 'Black Ice' Leaked to BitTorrent

posted by soulxtc in bittorrent // 52 days 11 hours 14 minutes ago

Latest album debuts on BitTorrent tracker sites well ahead of its official October 20th release date.

BitTorrent savvy hard rock fans everywhere are surely happy to learn that a copy of AC/DC's latest album "Black Ice" has leaked to tracker sites almost 2 weeks prior to its scheduled appearance on Wal-Mart and Sam's Club store shelves.

The Australian hard rock becomes the latest veteran act to offer an album exclusively with the retail giant, following Garth Brooks, the Eagles and Journey.

Meanwhile, Undercover News has reported that the band's label, Sony Music, might be flooding file-sharing and BitTorrent sites with fake downloads to frustrate eager fans.

It's an effort in futility for AC/DC will still find decent copies regardless and essentially just anger most those wanting to finally hear their beloved band for the first time in years.

The LP's first single, "Rock 'n' Roll Train," hit radio stations on August 28.

  • #1    This is a great album! Where can I donate money straight to the artist? I'm not giving a cent to any labels.

  • #2    To be honest, its the same old AC-DC style, which might be alright for some, but I guess its just not doing it for me. Might just be the fact that I get tired of songs really fast, but I just can't see myself listening through this music more then 3 times before being tired of it.

  • #3    Spurge now thats a good idea, paying the artist directly instead of the labels, why hasnt anyone ever suggested that til now.

  • #4    Many people have suggested paying artists directly, there has actually been a movement to do so for a long time now. Not only that but its been fully implemented by artist who have gone independent, such as the In rainbows event.

  • #5    It's not a bad album. If you like AC/DC you will like. It's just like all their others. My only real complaint is the songs really all sound the same. Every song has the same drum beat. This in turn makes the record a bit monotonous. By the time you get to the 8th to 10th song your over it.
