you’re a fucking idiot. if getting his music out there and having people like it isn’t enough, than he isn’t a musician. he’s just a greedy piece of shit like everyone in metallica. plus, if he’s ACTUALLY good, he’ll still make tons of money through shows. the record companies take most of the money from album sales anyway so you’re just another moron who fell for it. congratulations.

I think a Streaming Audio Recorder would be much easier, it record any audio playing through your PC, so you can use it to download any music even the songs that don't have download link. I works well so far for me.

Great guide but wouldn’t it be much easier to simply use Firefox with the “Download Helper” extension? It does work well on MySpace but not so much on LastFM

well now the music business as we know it is over this is the triton bomb that destroyed it within a day

I guess the goal now is to spend 2MM to make a record and market it

give away as much of it as you can everywhere to anyone who will listen to it.

you as the artist hope that you have enough fans who want to pay to come to your shows

you as the artist hope that your shows are sold out and fans buy your merchandise t shirts cups ect.

or you are so popular that promoters pay you a flat fee to perform much like an actor would get for being in a movie

and you get your royalties from radio stations tv networks

other than that I have no clue on how an artist can make a dime in this business anymore

I also guess that within 2 years all labels will be out of business

and the only new releases will come from those who suck but they think they are stars

can you imagine a world full of tila tequilas

no more mtv cribs

the only stars left will be in sports and acting

well that is where we are heading
