posted by soulxtc in bittorrent // 112 days 13 hours 19 minutes ago

Adds Teredo and IPv6 support as well as visual RSS feed integration.

After more than a year of development, uTorrent has finally released version 1.8 stable that incorporates a "slew of smaller features, changes and improvements."

Among the more notable improvements is the addition of Teredo and IPv6 support along with a new display of active RSS feeds of your favorite BitTorrent tracker sites as shown below.

Other major features included in uTorrent version 1.8 stable are the bypassing the Windows system cache (see the Disk Cache settings), "significantly improved" proxy support, and magnet URI support.

The changelog, which Firon, a uTorrent Admin, calls "absolutely massive" can be found here.

  • #4    Okay, it supports IPv6. Is anyone using IPv6 yet? Also, will Peerguardian2 be able to handle IPv6 addresses? It doesn't now, right? Any IP blockers for IPv6 adddresses, for Windows XP?
