Wether we want to admit it or not for many of us Facebook has become an important part of our daily lives. It’s how keep up with the lives of distant friends, family members, and old acquainatnces. It’s how we advertise events, share pictures videos and songs, or use just to tell people where we’re at and what we’re up to.
Now we would liek ot be able to do all of these on things on the go, and there’s a slew of Facebook apps for Android that make it possible. Sure the standardd Facebook app for Android will help you get by until you reach a proper desktop or laptop PC, but why wait?
These five free Facebook apps for Android will allow you to do all, if not most, of the functions you’d find on the full website, and in some cases will even make things a whole lot simpler.
1. Seesmic
Seesmic much like the popular TweetDeck and other multi-social-networking platform apps. You can see and update your Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz and Salesforce Chatter accounts all at the same time and from the same handy place.
You can upload photos and videos to Facebook or to services like Plixi, yFrog, TwitPic, and even YouTube.
It features full integration with Facebook, including management and posting to any Facebook pages you administer.
2. FriendCaster
FriendCaster is really the deluxe model of Facebook apps for Android. It honestly has just about feature you could possibly want and then some.

Go!Chat for Facebook is a free Android app that allows you talk and share content with your friends via Facebook chat. With it you can send photos, videos, voice notes and more.
You can customize your Facebook freinds by compiling them into chat groups or tag as a favorite for easier access.

4. Facebook Checkin: Smart Places
Facebook Checkin: Smart Places is a free Facebook app for Android that turns checkins and locations into a whole different experience.
You can check in automatically and for periods of time that can later be viewed to determine where you were and for how long.
The best part is that shows recent checkins by other Facebook friends on a Google Map, and you have the option to get notified when one checks-in closeby.
All it takes two simple clicks to check-in from your home screen so if you’re a big Facebook location/check-in person this is the app for you.
5. Facebook Messenger
I already reported the new Facebook Messenger app a few weeks ago, but it’s still worth mentioning as one of the best free Facebook apps for Andropid around.
Facebook Messenger is basically a one stop messaging app that allows you to communicate with your Facebook freinds in a variety of different ways. You can send messages to contacts the have Facebook Messenger installed, chat with friends on Facebook, or use to simply send text messages.
You can also attach photos and locations to your messages.
