New interface designed for a “great touch experience” on the iPad; gives users the same functionality already available on the PC-based uTorrent remote.
BitTorrent Inc. is definitely taking the influx of Apple products seriously. It recently launched long-awaited stable versions of the uTorrent and BitTorrent Mainline BitTorrent clients, and now it’s announced a complete makeover of the Web interface for iPad users.
BitTorrent Inc. added uTorrent Remote support for the iPad and Android back in June of last year, but it never focused solely on the iPad user experience until now, introducing a drastic redesign that is optimized for touchscreen usage.
“We’re happy to release a gorgeous new Web interface for µTorrent, optimized for the iPad for a great touch experience,” says Brett Nishi, Director of Product Management, in a press release. “It comes complete with all the functionality in the PC-based µTorrent Remote.
UTorrent Remote for the iPad looks pretty amazing. All of the control options are listed in a sidebar on the left-hand side for ease of control swiping, and the features appear simple and easy to use.
Once again BitTorrent Inc. manages to roll out a “little more love” that Mac users have been clamoring for.
Stay tuned.
