G+Twitter: A Real-time Twitter Client for Google+

G+Twitter: A Real-time Twitter Client for Google+

Extension for Chrome inserts a real-time Twitter feed into your Google+ stream, and allows users to retweet, reply, and even hashtag search.

With Facebook, Twitter, and now Google+ all competing for precious social networking time antyhing that helps combine the three into a single destination is definietly welcome.

I’ve already mentioned Start Google Plus (my favorite), but now there’s a new Google Chrome extenssion called G+ Twitter that intertwines your Twitter feed and Google+ stream in a new and exciting way.

First off, G+ Twitter updates in real-time! Tweets of those you’re following instantly appear in your stream; no wait times or time-out periods.

Second, you can both “Answer” (reply) and “Retweet” tweets as they appear in your Google+ stream; no need to switch back and forth between your Twitter page and Google+ account.

You can even “Unfollow” people in your Twitter feed from your Google+ stream!

Third, you can simultaneously tweet your posts in Google+, allowing you to reach an even larger social networking audience.

Fourth, and perhaps the coolest, is the fact that you can add a real-time hash tag and “@mention” search to your Twitter feed. Want to kow what people are saying about a topic like “#fantasyfootball”, for example, or just about you? Create a customized hash-tag query or select the “@Mention” option.

So if your a big Twitter fan, and want to truly combine it with your Google+ account then G+ Twitter is defeinitely the way to go.

Stay tuned.

I've been interested in P2P since the early, high-flying days of Napster and KaZaA. I believe that analog copyright laws are ill-suited to the digital age, and that art and culture shouldn't be subject to the whims of international entertainment industry conglomerates. Twitter | Google Plus
