Now users can tune in to Turntable.fm, the social-media site that lets people play and listen to songs with friends and others, while on the go.
Turntable.fm, the revolutionary social music platform has finally launched a free app for Apple’s iPhone and iPad, allowing users to now frequent the addictive music streaming service anywhere, anytime.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, Turntable.fm gives music fans an opportunity to play DJ for a day or simply sit back and listen to others spin some tunes.
“Each DJ takes a turn playing a song and the entire virtual room hears the song,” points out the site. “You can vote on whether the song is awesome or lame and if it receives too many lame votes, it gets skipped.”
For this reason Turntable.fm rooms are akin to any physical music club, though instead of being able to physically visit a handful of clubs in single city, Turntable.fm lets you listen and play music with folks from all over the world!
This is what the rooms look like (notice the “lame” and “awesome” buttons).
Browse the list of rooms…
Chat with others in a room…
Browse song titles uploaded from your iPhone to play on the DJ tables…
The Turntable.fm app is FREE and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad; it requires iOS 4.0 or later.
Now if only there was a Turntable.fm Android app.
