Google Docs App for Android Adds Web Clipboard

Among new updates users can now take pictures and insert them into Google documents.

Today Google rolled out a new update for its Google Docs app for Android that adds several new features and support functions.

The app, which was first introduced this past April, now allows users to easily take pictures and insert them into a Google document via the use of a new Web Clipboard feature feature.

Shown below, users of the Google Docs app can copy images from their Android Gallery and insert them into their documents.

Google also made some improvements to the open and send options of the Google Docs app. Now users can open documents with any compatible viewer application, and can easily send a doc as an email attachment.

“Last but certainly not least,” says Google, “we’re making the Docs app available in 45 additional languages so more users around the world can access, share and edit on the go.”

Stay tuned.
