5 More Essential Google+ Addons for Chrome

A collection of five more Google Plus addons for Chrome so that can users can customize their Google Plus experience.

This is a followup to the popular ”Essential Google+ Addons for Chrome” article I wrote a while back. A number of you wrote in with suggested Google Plus extensions for Chrome of your own, and so I decided to to take another look at what’s available and compare it with your submisions.

The ones I found are listed in no particular order (keep in mind that you’ll need to make sure have Google Chrome installed).

1) Move Your Photos

Move Your Photos is a Google Plus extension for Chrome that makes transferring your photos from Facebook to Google Plus fast and convenient. Move Your Photos is great for people like myself who have tons of pictures on their Facebook account and want to make the migration as easy as possible. All you have to do is press the button, login to your Facebook account, and then select which pictures you want to upload to your Google Plus account. It stores the pictures with the same file name and in the same folder on Facebook, and can be used periodically to update your Google Plus photo library.

2) Share+ Social Buttons

Now if you want to be able to share with much more than just simple social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook Share+ Social Buttons is a Google Plus extension for Chrome that makes it easier to share posts with two dozen different sites that include Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Tumblr blogs.

Choose from Digg, Reddit, and Stumbleupon among others.

3) PinIt

PinIt is one of the more useful Google Plus extensions for Chrome because it allows you to bookmark posts to the Google Plus sidebar. This way you can refer to your favorite posts, be they pics, comments, or generally witty conversation.

4) Usability Boost

Usability Boost is a Google Plus extensions for Chrome that does a number of things to make Google Plus more visually appealling as well as functional. Usability Boost allows you to star posts and access them for later reading. It adds a grey backrground that contrasts the posts and comments better, and mutes info so that it’s only visible upon mouse rollover.

5) +OneFB

The Plus One Button for Facebook adds a +1 button below each Facebook post so that all articles you recommended by selecting the +1 button in Facebook will be appear on your Google Plus profile (does not work with people’s status updates, personal pics, etc.). It’s not a pure Google Plus extension, but the tie-in with Facebook makes it convenient for those still using both social netowrking platforms.

Stay tuned.
