Okay for all you tech-savvy readers: Does this methodology suffer from the same problem that regular torrenting does? Specifically having 3rd parties being able to see YOUR IP address as you "acquire" the file in question.

Please advise. Thanks.

With BT YOUR IP address is visible as you "aquire" a file. If you don't want your IP address to be visibible use an anonymous p2p client like ANts p2p or Dargens p2p ( http://www.Dargens.com ) or any other anonymous p2p client. These application were developed to hide you IP address whereas BT was not.

Looks like shutting down bittorrent just got harder for the RIAA and MPAA. If torrent files become illegal then all users need to do is start exchaning exe files. I would like to see the RIAA and/or MPAA try to shut down exe downloading.

On the flipside:
Someone out there should look into hacking the executables created from this website to see if the IP address is em<x>bedded in the exe code somewhere. If it is then this website is just setting up people to get sued and put in jail.

MaryJayne splendid idea. Can ZeroPaid contact these people and find out directly from the source? Wouldn't need to hack any executables.

You'd have to be able to see your IP address in the BitTorrent client of other seeders and leechers how else would they able to connect with you? The whole point of the program is not anonymity or any more than regular old BitTorrent but convenience for people who dont know how to use BitTorrent.

You could send somebody a .exe for a torrent off Mininova for instance.

Clever idea. Wonder if it leaves any traces. IE: you could run this of a usb stick at some place save directly to the stick and nothing but the traffic is logged.
