Xbox360 users get to test drive the game before its official release next week, and The Pirate Bay renames itself “Liberty Bay” to commemorate the event.
Both the NTSC and PAL versions of Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360 have been leaked to BitTorrent. This latest Grand Theft Auto epic from Rockstar games won’t hit stores until next Tuesday, April 29th, but until then the file-sharing community will be able to get in some quality playing time.
Here’s a screenshot of the release notes:

Now for those that aren’t already aware, Microsoft bans people from Xbox Live PERMANENTLY if found playing bootleg copies of games online so beware before firing up your 360 to play it.
This isn’t the first time a GTA game was leaked before its release. Copies of 2004′s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were leaked about a week before it arrived in stores as well.
Copies of the game can be found on private and public tracker sites alike, with The Pirate Bay, as usual, being the sort of “go to guy” for those looking for an easy option. For its part The Pirate Bay has even posted a new image to pay homage of sorts to the leak, temporarily renaming the site “Liberty Bay.”
Gotta love them crazy Swedes.

this one would be easy to monitor for pirated copies since it is a leaked copy.
but once released then the only way to monitor it would be by serial number or by checking the drive for the presence of the dvd or something
Go TPB! Though the orig actually did come from ScT
