LulzSec and Anonymous Team Up, Sets Their Sights on the US Government

LulzSec already hacked FBI affiliate Infragard once, but that might not be the only time the US government might face hacking. LulzSec has issued a statement on PasteBin saying that they are teaming up with Anonymous in operation “AntiSec” which aims to “steal and leak any classified government information”

It’s fairly difficult to follow the news and not hear about LulzSec or Anonymous at one point or another. Each one has wound up building up their fame through their hacking exploits as of late whether it’s through hacking Sony or DDOS attacking government institutions from various countries. Now, both groups are teaming up and plan on targeting the US government.

“Welcome to Operation Anti-Security (#AntiSec) – we encourage any vessel, large or small, to open fire on any government or agency that crosses their path.” A statement reads. It continues, “We fully endorse the flaunting of the word “AntiSec” on any government website defacement or physical graffiti art. We encourage you to spread the word of AntiSec far and wide, for it will be remembered. To increase efforts, we are now teaming up with the Anonymous collective and all affiliated battleships.”

“Whether you’re sailing with us or against us, whether you hold past grudges or a burning desire to sink our lone ship, we invite you to join the rebellion. Together we can defend ourselves so that our privacy is not overrun by profiteering gluttons. Your hat can be white, gray or black, your skin and race are not important. If you’re aware of the corruption, expose it now, in the name of Anti-Security.”

“Top priority is to steal and leak any classified government information, including email spools and documentation. Prime targets are banks and other high-ranking establishments. If they try to censor our progress, we will obliterate the censor with cannonfire anointed with lizard blood.”

It’s interesting given that last month, the US government commented on their “cyber-security” plans last month saying, “Our Nation is at risk. The cybersecurity vulnerabilities in our government and critical infrastructure are a risk to national security, public safety, and economic prosperity. The Administration has responded to Congress’ call for input on the cybersecurity legislation that our Nation needs, and we look forward to engaging with Congress as they move forward on this issue.”

Meanwhile, there is growing criticisms of the government for being unable to keep up with any threat it faces.

Conspiracy theories are starting to circulate in all of this. One theory is that LulzSec is merely a secret arm of the government to some extent. LulzSec is also on the receiving end of criticism with some arguing that the government will simply lock down further with tougher laws which, in turn, will hurt some of the objectives in keeping the government open and honest.

At this stage, I think it’s really hard to tell how things will play out. Will this effort against the government prove to be successful? Will this effort simply fade away? Will some people involved wind up getting arrested as a result of their effort? I think it’s really all up in the air at this point.

Any hacker group this kind of attention from the mainstream media is clearly a pawn in the plan for creating more government censorship of the internet. Freedom must be defended. A standing army is a threat to our freedoms at home. Our founding fathers, who were more historically informed than anyone here (internet and all) knew this and it's time to start reading the constitution again. Time alone does not improve life. Technology can be used for good or evil. As "our" soldier advance, our guns at home mean less by the day. We are about to experience a loss of freedom that will make the dark ages look like a golden age. Brace yourselves...and above all GET ANGRY and keep hope alive.

Lulz Security are heroes, fighting back against corporate fascism which has tried to conceal its antidemocratic activities under an information monopoly. Corruption flourishes under secrecy and censorship.

Ooooh nice. US is harvesting what they planted. Sweet. The cyberwar is already on the loose. Ppl fear a World War III and yet they can't see the Cyber War I that's already happening right under our noses.

Who gives a shit if a soldier is killed? Who cares? Maybe they should not of joined a gang of murderers for the banking elite. I want soldiers to die. British soldiers too, don't give a fuck. Sacred are the soldiers eh? Can't say that....omg.... That's like saying, oh noez, what if a politician loses his position as a result of all this...... GOOD. FUCKING CUNTS.

Jarod, I care if anyone dies...except you. I don't want you wasting any more air that people who might have value could be breathing. Clueless fool.

I just HOPE some solider does not DOE because of THEIR idiocy! All we need is some idiots out to "defend the free world" in their eyes leak classified info that gets a solider or a group of soliders killed . THEN I think you WOULD see a change in the way the public views these clowns! If they are going to leak sensitive information, they had better know what they are doing or this whole thing will blow right up in their face! Watch and see.

Sorry for the spelling! I meant DIE in my other post and was typing fast. Again sorry for the typo!

Soldiers who are stupid enough to fight for plutocratic regimes are asking for death.

first i woud like to you to specify which idiocracy gets soldiers killed? i think i can safely say you have not checked the material released and are just repeating what you read in the paper. on top of that if lulzsec/anonymous can hack your goverment than enemy goverments can too. no matter what side you are on you have to admit you rather have your goverment hacked by lulzsec than an enemy goverment! lulzsec goes public so targeted companies/goverments get a chance to fix there system in case a real thread comes what woud happen if your enemy got to you goverments servers before lulzsec??? i would like to add that internet will never be secure just like the fact that even the best locks will eventually be cracked/picked/destroyed/circumvented. lulzsec is merely pointing out the mistakes each of us have made by following the .com boom and dumping all our information on the web!!! everything you put on the web shoud be considered public domain as security wil eventually fail!!! keep this in mind the next time you submit personal information to "trusted" companies like sony. protect yourself, dont expect others to protect you. that also goes for goverments they are just retards if they put sensitive information on servers connected to the web, for this reason the pentagon network is "fully" isolated. don't blame lulzsec/anonymous blame yourself and your goverment

What's odd is that I haven't seen ANY mention of "joining" with Lulzsec on the anonymous side. I see ALOT of bad jokes about ryan dunn dying but not ONE mention of joining lulzsec.

*Yawn* Anonymous and LulzSec are boring and not doing anything "politically" targeted in the right direction. Anyone who is "awake" or "aware" of whats going on in this world can easily associate their actions with siding of that of the U.S. government rather than trying to bring down or expose corruption. These guys are either tools or don't see the bigger picture and therefore act immature because of it.

these f*ckers really seem to think the government agencies are just a bunch of nitwit losers. they will realize their mistake when they share a cell block with bradley manning.
