I hope the guy does sue really hard. He probably isn’t going to do anything because he’s feeling just lucky to be out of jail, but it must have been terrifying for him, so I hope he changes his mind and Dogs them good in court, do it guy, it’s your access point!

You know, the USA is waging all of these wars, terrierism, drugs, porn, listening to copies of music, viewing movies without proper authorization. Maybe we could step back and assess the situation, trim back some of those wars that are less important, or look at other directions since the wars on our own citizens aren’t doing any good.

I don’t understand why they didn’t have the ISP send out warning letters to each IP holder – warning them of the consequences and allowing them to self-identify there was an issue. I know I would like to know if someone had been sneaking onto my protected wi-fi signal and I’d take steps to stop the unknown usage if I’d been advised. Guilty people would either quit or find another route knowing they had been caught, sure, but then the ISP would be off the line. I guess everyone just wants to sue for money instead of using common sense.
