New Gnarls Barkley ‘The Odd Couple’ Album Leaked to BitTorrent!

A pre-release copy of the hit duos upcoming album winds up on the The Pirate Bay well before its official April 8th release date.

I don’t usually talk about leaked pre-release albums for there are so many it would be impossible to cover them all. But, in the case of Gnarls Barkley I’ve opted to make an exception.

Their first album “St. Elsewhere” and the hypnotic melody of the single “Crazy” put audiences everywhere on notice that a new sheriff was in town. Mix in their penchant for performing on stage dressed as everything from characters from the Wizard of Oz to Star Wars, from Chefs to Doctors, from Hippies to Astronauts, and you have a pair that are artists in every sense of the word. How many true music artists are out there these days that one can readily speak of?

The track listing for the new album is as follows, and at least one, “Run,” has already been filling radiowaves since its release a few weeks back.

THE ODD COUPLE:

  • “Charity Case” – 3:13
  • “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul” – 3:16
  • “Going On” – 2:55
  • “Run” – 2:44
  • “Would-Be Killer” – 2:24
  • “Open Book” – 3:22
  • “Whatever” – 2:21
  • “Surprise” – 3:41
  • “No Time Soon” – 2:56
  • “She Knows” – 2:47
  • “Blind Mary” – 3:26
  • “Neighbors” – 3:06
  • “A Little Better” – 3:07
  • A friend of mine has already verified it to be the real deal, though the trackers are incorrectly labeled. Track 4 is “Run,” for example, but reads as track 7 “Whatever” in his BitTorrent client.

By the way, don’t forget that if you like the music don’t forget to support the band by purchasing the album online or at your local music retailer(if there are any left in your area).

The link to the torrent tracker on The Pirate Bay is below. For legal reasons the link can’t be an active one, so you’ll have to cut and paste the address into your browser on your own.

    Enjoy.

Here’s a clip of “Run,” which has been reported to be capable of causing seizures. Watch with caution.

I've been interested in P2P since the early, high-flying days of Napster and KaZaA. I believe that analog copyright laws are ill-suited to the digital age, and that art and culture shouldn't be subject to the whims of international entertainment industry conglomerates. Twitter | Google Plus

...that's when the community found themselves re-reading the same breaking news story again and again. Every day became March 14th 2008. It wasn't long before they have realized that they have ALL entered... the Twighlight Zone!!! *cues theme tune* (check the forum announcements ;) )

what the hell? did we timewarp when the site went down last night? i didnt read this article the first time but i did read the C&D letter and there is content in this article that i can see has to do with why they wanted it taken down.

Didn't his record agency ban this album? It's been withdrawn from sale.

if "The link to the torrent tracker on The Pirate Bay is below. For legal reasons the link can't be an active one so you'll have to cut and paste the address into your browser on your own." is true then why did atlantic records send the c&d notice at zeropaid.com/news/9333/Atlantic+Records+Doesn%27t+Want+Us+to+Talk+About+Gnarls+Barkley/ witch is now a blank page?

That video done just like the hundreds of dance party chart shows that used to be all over weekend TV Soul Train Solid Gold Puttin' On The Hits Top of Pops and the local versions from each city. I don't know what happened to those shows though I think that Soul Train might still be on but it seems they went from having dancers to just playing music videos and then were just gone.

Guess what I was just listening to as I came to ZeroPaid.. :) Freaked me out. This rocks and I love how wacked out and different it sounds even weirder than St. Elsewhere lots of different sounds. Out of all of the releases I'm glad you chose to feature this one. Who says prog rock is dead?
