Produced with the National District Attorneys Association, tells viewers that cracking down on music piracy will lead them to murders, drug dealers, and even terrorists!

An official RIAA training video has been leaked that is every bit as humorous as you'd expect it to be. The same group of uber intellectuals that brought you raids and lawsuits against grandmothers, college students, kids, disabled veterans, and even the deceased has made produced a training video for law enforcement that truly baffles the mind.

The first question given in the video clip below is why music piracy should be addressed in the first place. A respondent replies that because it "affects the quality of life in a DA's district" and that "it's a link to a lot of other crimes." According to her it can be used to "get into a drug house that you couldn't get in before" and that it can even "have links to terrorists organizations for those Federal prosecutors out there."

Just when you though they'd completely lost it, she then says that some people even sell guns and drugs with bootleg CDs. I know I've never heard of a "Pearl Jam & Pot special" and I'm sure that I'm not alone.

The other person on the panel even furthers these incredulous claims with his story of how in some places people actually ask if "'Would you like it WITH or WITHOUT?' The 'with' is a CD enclosing a piece of crack or whatever the case may be."

Honestly, has anybody ever even heard of this nonsense? I mean are drug dealers really savvy enough or have the time to download and burn pirated music?

Drugs as a whole would make you more money and at a faster rate than a lame bootleg copy of the new Britney Spears could ever fetch. So it's almost insulting to hear them try to make their point with a straight face.

  • #2    Listen to music and get high... what's wrong with that? It does show how desperate the RIAA and their goons are to raise the "danger" level of pirated music to now include drug dealers and terrorists. I certainly never heard on the drugs with a CD idea, but it seems to be rather inventive.

  • #4    They grabbed a bunch of rubbish actors and dressed them up to look like they're professionals to the uneducated buffoon, however I'm sure that a good chunk of the law enforcement in DA can see this for the pile of rubbish that it is...

Hell where I am there are police officers that are more or less pulling in songs and whatnot, however we in canuckland pay a levy on our digital media so we're -mostly- safe from the RIAA goon squad.

  • #5    All this shite is based around the fact that a pirate copy of Kylie's greatest hits was found amongst the 911 rubble..

it's a pretty slim chance, but technically it could have belonged to one of the terroists, therefor they might have a point.

  • #6    I feel I need to comment on this story. The RIAA has once again proven they will stop at nothing. This so called training video is slanderous. The fact is people love music. Our world has evolved to embrace multi-media with the evolution and widespread acceptance of computers, whether its MAC or PC. The POINT is that just because someone likes music and maybe rips a CD or downloads music does NOT, and I repeat does not make them dopeheads, terroists or murderers. The RIAA should be ashamed to suggest that a human beings love of music is now labeled as these horribly negative pictures they gruesomely paint. This organization has produced this video in yet another attempt to demonize and alienate their customers, the very ones who made their fortunes. When will people wake up and realize that the RIAA are simply trying to hide the fact that their business model is outdated and broken, and they have lost all sense of reality. I am truly personally offended by this training video depicting and associating music lovers with negative depictions. All of this to protect their profit margins. My greatest hope is that all people on our planet see this video for the shameful tactics it employs. I wish everyone would just stop buying any and all CDs to put this evil organization out of business.

  • #7    Drugs with C.D.'s Hmmmm. Is that sort of like bubblegum with baseball cards? But, who the heck has C.D.'s any more? How do you include some pot with an mp3?

  • #8    LMAO!!! It's no secret that the powers that be have always used the "Organised crimed, funded by piracy" trick on the public. Who knows? With the anti-intellectualism tactics used by our great governments, a few daft brushes might even believe it too. Hehehehe!!!

  • #9    I think that they are crazy. We will always take illegal movies, music, games etc. Because they are too expensive. If they where at a average price then yes. But till then I suggest them to go to some alcohol rehabs so they can get this idea out of their head.
