Do people even upload standard films and warez and such on Rapidshare? The only thing I ever see using Rapidshare is porn.

For once I wouldn't mind a service being shut down. Rapidshare has one of the worst hosting services on the internet. The only reason it is popular is that people who upload get points to download more material. Once they get shutdown I'm hoping people will move to better systems that don't authenticate or limit downloads.

Pretty much everything released via P2P filters down to the Warez boards blogs & specialist forums that use this kind of file transfer method . Rapidshare (100MB max file size) is by far & away the most popular but there are plenty of alternative file hosting companies available .

<b>soulxtc mountain_rage</b>
You guys have no idea what you are talking about.
What do you expect. Free service? No one is going to do this for free. At least not giving unlimited bandwidth i.e. your maximum download rate.
I hope nothing is going to happen.

Nestea_Zen maybe you should do your research before shooting your mouth off. They already have such sites I can't think of them off the top of my head but I have downloaded files from other services with no wait no authentication and I was able to download much more then with rapid share.

hey mountain_rage you should do your research before shooting YOUR mouth off. the sites you are referring to ALWAYS go out of business. ever notice that? examples: nitroshare ultraxshare rogueshare.

the only one that has managed to stay in business is mediafire and they delete li<x>nks all the time and won't allow password-protected files encrypted files and have no trans-load feature. you are a complete idiot to say there are so many services that are better than RS because there are not hence why you couldn't name any.

RS provides great service and value for those willing to spend a couple bucks. If you are so cheap that you refuse to buy a 6-month account for only 30-euros for unlimited bandwidth privacy and speed you will never see on P2P then you really should just stfu.

There are comparable services to rapidshare but none with as many files. The closest would be megaupload who has almost the same limitations and has similar prices.

Before you accuse someone for not doing their research make sure you do your own.
