First two episodes find their way to BitTorrent tracker sites everywhere well ahead of its January 9th, 2011 premiere date.
Over the years a number of TV shows have seen preair episodes leak to BitTorrent tracker sites over the years, in some cases on purpose, and in others accidental.
The hit Showtime series Californication is the latest and greatest to have episodes appear on BitTorrent ahead of their official premiere date, the first two episodes of the upcoming fourth season having leaked to BitTorrent tracker sites everywhere well ahead of the show’s official January 9th, 2011 premiere date.
For those that haven’t been tuning, here’s a quick Wiki bio:
The protagonist, Hank Moody (David Duchovny), is a troubled novelist whose move to California, coupled with his writer’s block, complicates his relationships with his long time girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone) and daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin). Californication’s other main characters are Charlie Runkle (Evan Handler), Marcy Runkle (Pamela Adlon), and Mia Cross (Madeline Zima). The show has been nominated and won several awards, including winning one Emmy Award (nominated for two others) and one Golden Globe Award (nominated for three others). Californication has aired for three complete seasons.
It’s very well written series and a highly recommend it to anyone tired of the banality that characterizes the standard fare of broadcast TV.
Stay tuned.
