Lets you grab the music streaming from a number of different music services like Myspace, Pandora, Last-fm, eSnips, MOG, iJigg, and IMEEM for FREE with the click of a button.

Every so often a new program comes along that makes life so much easier and just a little bit cooler. In this case it's a nifty new program called FreeMusicZilla and it certainly lives up to its name by unleashing a whole new world of FREE MUSIC.

For some, ripping music from streaming services involves using standard wave out capturing software. Unfortunately the process can be time consuming and of course mean a degree of editing on the part of the user.

With FreeMusicZilla it's as simple as opening the program and pressing a seemingly magic download button. No hassle. No headaches. No software configuration.

Better yet, it has no spyware, adware, or malware!

I'll run you through the three main music services that people people use to stream music, MySpace, Last.FM, and Pandora, but keep in mind that the process for all of the sites is the same.

DOWNLOAD FreeMusicZilla

1. Open FreeMusicZilla.

1. Visit the desired site and play a music selection. Whatever you choose will then be automatically grabbed by FreeMusicZilla.

3. Select the music ready to be grabbed and then press the DOWNLOAD button. Your download should then begin. Make sure you begin downloading the track before the "Leech Timeout" counter runs out otherwise you have to refresh the page.

NOTE: By default it places your downloads in the location "C:downloads"

MySpace

For this example I used a friend of mine's music. DJ Destructo Bunny is his name, and hip hope is his game (I leave the rapping to him as you can tell). He's a local up and coming artist so I urge you to show some support if you like what you hear by buying a track or two or by checking out one of his upcoming shows.

Last.FM

Pandora

So as you can see, FreeMusicZilla is precisely one of those occasional programs that come along that do indeed make life great.

Happy ripping!

  • #8    One problem with this software is you can only download up to 10 videos a day with it, and I wonder why that is? On the site there's another downloader for streaming videos called Orbit that seems to be pretty good. You run it as a 'sniffer' and then go to the page with the video you want, and the program window displays a list of the media files on that page, you check the one you want and then download it.

    Videos? U mean music tracks?

  • #10    Yes, music tracks I mean, with Free Music Zilla. The page says that version of the program is limited to 10 downloads per day, when you look under Features. On http://www.freemusiczilla.com/products.htm it appears that the Plus version is coming soon, with unlimited downloading. To me, that site just isn't so clear about what their products are and what they do, too much bling there.

Yah, the site's way too busy for such a simple program that's obviously so straightforward to use......will have to take a second look...THX for the heads up. :)

  • #12    I don't feel comfortable using this. I like Last.FM and Pandora, they don't deserve to be ripped off.

I prefer to use P2P or Mp3sparks to get my music.

  • #13    something i haven't tested (i dont have a windows machine) but can you tamper with the clock say set the date up 1 day and get it to allow more downloads?.

another thing you can do is run it in a virtualization world by using (correct me if i am wrong) sandboxie ( witch i never tested either ) witch keeps the program isolated from the rest of the computer (great for security and privacy). and then once you install it on it's virtual drive (if it has one) then make a backup copy of the virtual drive then download 10 items and restore the copy from backup.

  • #18    I downloaded and thought this program was pretty cool but when I changed the location of where the file downloaded to, for some reason it wiped out half my desktop Icons. I removed it, put my shortcuts back, downloaded it again, went to use it and BOOM, same thing happen again. This happen to anyone else?

I looked for the tool you talked about and I saw that you can download musics and videos from YouTube, Google Video, My Video etc, but still it can download from ClipFish and I really like this site :D Besides that I think is cool (I didnt try it) it also converts musics and videos for mobiles and MP 3. I'll give it a try soon....
