Top P2P Swaps of 2007

posted by soulxtc in file sharing // 374 days 7 hours 29 minutes ago

With help from Big Champagne, Wired lists the top 10 songs, movies, and TV shows that were shared on P2P and file-sharing services this year.

It's not what I would necessarily call news, but it's interesting nonetheless to stack up ones own favorite downloads of 2007 against the the P2P and file-sharing crowd at large.

Top Songs of 2007

1. Shop Boyz, "Party Like A Rock Star"

2. Akon, "I Wanna Luv U"

3. Sean Kingston, "Beautiful Girls"

4. Mims, "This Is Why I'm Hot"

5. Akon, "Don't Matter"

6. T-Pain, "Bartender"

7. Soulja Boy, "Crank Dat Soulja Boy"

8. Justin Timberlake, "My Love"

9. DJ Unk, "Walk It Out"

10. Jim Jones, "We Fly High"

I've never heard of any of these songs. Have you?

Top Movies of 2007

1. Resident Evil: Extinction

2. Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End

3. I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry

4. Ratatouille

5. Superbad

6. Beowulf

7. Transformers

8. American Gangster

9. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

10. Stardust

All of these flics were pretty good except for "Stardust" in my opinion. Seeing uber-badass Robert Deniro play a gay ship captain made my eyes burn.

Top TV Shows of 2007

1. "Heroes"

2. "Prison Break"

3. "Top Gear"

4. "Smallville"

5. "Desperate Housewives"

6. "House, M.D."

7. "Lost"

8. "Grey's Anatomy"

9. "24"

10. "Dexter"

All I can say is "Dexter," "Dexter," "Dexter." If you haven't already seen it, I can't recommend it enough.

  • #2    Nor have I actually, I tend to tune to songs that have plenty of axe, and I don't mean deodorant...

  • #3    Me neither. Thought Superbad would've been higher. I know I was waiting ages for the R5!

  • #5    I don't care if your old or young. No sane presons would download any file with the name Justin Timberlake on it.

  • #6    Well. I can say I have both heard of all of those songs and have downloaded most of them. Seen all of the movies, downloaded half of them, but out of all of those tv shows. The only one I deem worth watching is 24.
