Nope. Its donation-based. Running a torrent tracker site that host ads is unethical! And donations are to pay for server and hosting fees. They dont run on fairy dust.

Is there advertisement on the site? IF SO, someone is being paid for using all of your music you seed with your equipment... and it's not the artist! While convenient, this seems like hypocrisy, or just some greedy bastards trying to make a buck; but then I could be wrong.

p2p didn't kill the music industry, absurd prices did.
Most people who use p2p have more than average interest in music, buy a lot more than the average person, they visit live shows and buy merchandise.
That's where the money is, not from selling some cd's or you got to sell millions of them.
The industry did a very good job in killing itself by asking absurd prices and paying the artist almost zero.
What we see is that more and more new artists are willing to embrace p2p because it gives them airplay and a chance to become well known by those who like music instead of being promoted for a lot of money.
The music industry is changing very fast with sites like bandcamp or myspace, bands don't need big corporations, they found out they can do a better job themselves and a lot cheaper.

Those who want to see P2P and file swap sites alive won't get much benefit from this new site. To me it defeats the purpose of keeping the web open and free. A site with few members is just going to result in an incestuously minute portion of the the music portfollio being available. Newer stuff will reach the listeners long after release if then.
The old p2p profiles should just continue to pop up as soon as one is shut down. The RIAA can't pistol whip them all.

Because music fans have no LEGAL RECOURSE to acquire a digital copy, or outside the UK, even a legal physical copy.

How are you to buy a legal copy if the artists refuses to offer one?

How about paying for your music? This article uses the term "music fans" where it should use "music thieves." If you're a fan, you buy it.
