I say that ISP's shouldn't be offering unlimited bandwidth if they can't deliver on that promise. You give people a resource and they damn will find a way to make use of all of it. If Comcast et al. wants to stop the strain on their networks they should do two things 1) Increase network capacity and/or 2) Advertise exactly how much bandwidth their subscribers are allowed to use in a month (hell make people pay more if they want to use more bandwidth). If their network can only handle people using 10GB a month then just say that so that people won't try to download 20GB and if people want or need more set up another service tier that includes more GBs.

It sickens me that these ISP's tell people "unlimited internet for only $xx.xx a month" then they get all pissed off when people use large amounts of bandwidth and then try to stop them from using what they paid for. Isn't this fraud (bait-and-switch)? I hope the EFF takes these assholes to court.

HEY ISPs SUCK IT UP OR CHANGE YOUR ADVERTISING!

What BitTorrent CEO is saying most people have very limited upload spped compare to their download speed. These days ISPs are not only selling their Internet service for customers to download music but also sharing their photos & videos with others. These ISPs networks needs to change to accommodate as things changes to keep up with the times!!

times are definitely changing. i dont know if it was the first but cable was the first high-speed network i heard of back in dial-up days. im assuming that makes it the oldest. who knows despite its strong advantages cable might be the new dial-up: going obsolete.
