FREEEDOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!

wait what?

back on topic: i dont think that torrents are going to die any time soon. they are too good to just quickly bite the dust because something similar but better emerges. best case scenario i could see a spit 50-50 between Pirate Protocol and Bit Torrent. most likely we would see the continued use of BT for legit services while PP gets used for sites like demonoid and pirate bay.

I'm glad someone is finally looking at making a competing network. Too many are shutting down and having new networks appart from bittorrent will only strengthen the Filesharing grip. Especially one with privacy in mind.

This gives me a tingly feeling inside; either that or my dinner salad was contaminated with e-coli. Anyway I hope this protocol is successful hell I hope that its also more efficient then Bittorrent that way people would migrate to it faster. Then again it might be a flop in which case I'll keep using Bittorrent. Only good things can come of this.

Go TPB!! I don't care if they switch to a different format. They're a huge public tracker and they have their own unique issues to deal with. Their new protocol and bittorrent could coexist too.

I don't know if it would be succesfull but it's in the right hands .
As with all p2p technologies the success will depend on the users . And that will depend on the clients that are written for it .

The biggest problem is that people won't go from a feature rich bt client like Azureus to a less feature rich Pirate Protocol Client .
The best thing would be if they start incorperating both technologies in 1 client for instance that Azureus would support both BT and PP . They will only do that if they think it's worth it though .

It's worth the try . If it becomes nothing we will probably learn something from it .
