Makes controlling BitTorrent downloads on the go even easier and more convenient.
After having introduced uTorrent Web for the iPhone last month users have been asking for support on similar devices as well. Yesterday BitTorrent Inc. answered their demands by adding support for the iPad and Android OS.
“Since launching µTorrent Web for iPhone, users have been clamoring for something similar on other devices,” says Simon Morris, BitTorrent’s VP of Product Management. “So, today we are very excited to announce support for the iPad and Android platform – including the Nexus One and Google Ion devices. Now you can control torrents via your web browser on a PC, iPhone, iPad and Android.”
uTorrent Web allows you to manage your downloads anytime, anywhere you have Internet access, and by adding support for additional web-enabled mobile devices access becomes even easier.
“What makes this different from other web-UI-for-bittorrent-client products is the incredible simplicity of setting it up,” adds Morris. “There’s no complicated port-forwarding or confusing settings in your router or firewall. Just set up a username and password in your µTorrent 3.0 alpha client, and presto you’re ready to go!”
To get started simply go to Options > Preferences > Web, select “Enable uTorrent Web Remote Access” and enter a username and password. From there go to http://web.utorrent.com on whatever device you’re on and you’ll see a screen somewhat similar to the one below.
It really is that simple.
Stay tuned.

Thanks. I didn’t realize they were still active.
I haven’t used any torrents in years. Anyone care to point me to the most used torrent search site?
