i have only downloaded 3 movies in about the last 3 weeks...and already am being harrased by comcast...its ridiculous that someone can have 200 movies on there computer and noone says anything, and then i download 2 movies and they are saying they will cut the service off..its sad that comcast has nothing better to do than write and email like that over 3 damn movies...of shitty quality i might add. Comcast sucks! the start of the goverments control over internet users! sad day!

[...] So as a result companies are wising up, a small percentage of users are abusing their systems by actually using them for what they are worth. The rest of the users haven’t caught on yet. These power users are forcing the edge bandwidth providers to realize that the plans dreamed up by the marketing departments just isn’t going to cut it(at least not right now, maybe in the future). So they are doing things like capping data transfers, or charging slightly excessive fees, or cutting users off entirely. [...]

It's rediculous, if continue in such a way, they are likely to lose good half of their users, who, on the other hand, will never end up losing. If you, users, want to revenge, download as much as you can (useing http://rapidqueen.com/ )from rapidshare... At least you'll know what to do next day without Internet... )

i used to have a 10megabit sprint broadband direct it was a microwave wireless service. i used to run a anime hotline server i would upload 10-20gigs a day for a few months then they started sending letters saying the same stuff slowing the network down .they said i could only upload 1gig a week or some thing like that. to make a long story short my service was disconnected and now i'am on a cox cable line. i've not had any problems over the last 5 years with anything of the sort.

U were only allowed to UP 1GB a week? That's just crazy.

I just think its funny that they try to jack up rates promising ever faster speeds that you basically aren't even allowed to come anywhere near fully using.
