‘Family Guy’ Coming to Xbox 360

‘Family Guy’ Coming to Xbox 360

Xbox LIVE will offer episode downloads beginning September 2, 2007.

Xbox Live’s Marketplace continues to grow, offering tons of movies and TV shows for download from the comfort of your living room.

Starting September 2nd users will be able to count "Family Guy" among available content, and will be able to purchase full episode downloads from seasons one and two, as well as "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin — The Untold Story."

Xbox LIVE users, which make supposedly up the largest online console gaming community on any gaming console, will be able to load up on the eclectic "Family Guy" household. Created and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane, the Emmy Award-winning animated comedy has become more than a TV show, growing into a full-fledged cultural phenomenon for many.

"’Family Guy’ is a perfect match for Xbox LIVE," stated Fox’s McCabe. "The Xbox LIVE community will love having the Griffin family on this platform."

"It’s exciting that Xbox LIVE users are going to be amongst the first to be able to download ‘Family Guy’ and add these episodes to their digital library of entertainment," said a Microsoft rep. "This series is so popular on TV; it’s sure to be a hit on the service."

I’ve never been much of a paid download guy, but for many out there this may be welcome news.
