Nullsoft may start charging for Winamp

Unfortunatly Nullsoft has considered charging for future versions of their popular MP3 player. While this seems like a major upset, and it may be, the new player will have nifty features like cd- burning and double as a movie viewer. This “all in one” tool will be Nullosft’s new means of revenue since web- advertsing is becoming less profitable as we already know. Nullsoft also plans on hosting subscription web radio stations for income. But rest assured, there will always be a basic version of Winamp for free. Read the full story here.
