I would not trust a MICROSOFT p2p program if they gave it to me! Sorry but I can just see them working for the MPAA or RIAA or both!

Um Meyou unless I am confused they are using it solely to distribute their own content. Its not a universal client so you should not worry about them working for the MPAA or RIAA on this one as it doesn't involve that content. On a seperate not however Microsoft does work with both as a content distributer as well as a DRM pusher so it isn't far fetched to expect hidden measures in windows that would allow them to control your content. If you want to learn more about past measures look up trusted computing and Microsoft paladin.

Yeah it isn't like all the chaos surrounding uTorrent for instance. This so they can distribute Microsoft things.

Even IF they are only using it to distribute their own content....I would still not trust it. How do you know what kind of measures they put in Windows to gather information from you when you use this client? Spyware.....Microsoft st<x>yle perhaps?

Microsoft already has some mechanisms in place which send back info about places you have visited etc.. And this current implementation of p2p is not what you should worry about its Microsoft as a whole organization. If you don't want them spying on you you will need a mac or a linux machine. Sadly if they ever go through with trusted computing even that won't be enough as Intel Apple Microsoft etc... are all a big cartel for that push.

Good step sometimes windows update is a bit slow (under 700 KB/s) I have better speed on shareaza than that.
Hopefully they will update it so thatif a windows update server is not abel to give us good speed that at least a p2p connection can help out.
