The text of the whole book? The only way for this to be worth downloading would be if it were an audio book. With a book one has to print out the whole text (unless you plan on reading off the screen which most people wouldn't). The cost of printing would far exceed that of buying the book. (If this were true of music there would be no problem of copyright infringement either). So what was leaked? The ending? Illustrations? People are still going to want to buy the book. Maybe it's just an employee at Canon bragging about what they can do and not what the company as a whole thinks but wow.. They could have batch-stripped all of the images of that book in a few minutes with a free program like jstrip. Hopefully there are no other serial numbers elsewhere in the file. This isn't even about something illegal it's basic privacy rights here. It was fine and I got to read the book when it wasn't available to me in another way.
