The Swedish BitTorrent tracker site considers filing charges for slander or official misconduct against the Swedish police officer involved. In comments posted today in the Pirate Bay's blog, a short entry reads that it has been decided by Swedish police that the Pirate Bay will NOT be included in the child porn filter list distributed to ISPs this week. A brief English translation of their decision reads that "The child porn filter list distributed this week will NOT contain the Pirate Bay." The decision to not include the Pirate Bay in this week's blocklist merely reinforces the fact that the charges were dubiously propagated by people higher up the chain in a bid to smear the Pirate Bay and get it shut down for good. The fact that Swedish Police never even attempted to substantiate the child porn claims by contacting the Pirate Bay and making an official determination based on reason and verifiable data makes the argument even further compelling that the whole effort had a conclusion in mind from the very beginning. The Pirate Bay blog reads: They claim that their work has been successful when trying to rid the Internet of child porn. I want to point out that still to this day, the police has not given us one single hint on what content on the site has been containing child porn - and the things we have filtered out has been proven not to be child porn either. So wtf? What is this content their talking about?A few days ago, Brokep mused about who some of the responsible actors could be, writing as follows: So who is in charge? Who is the responsible person for this?
Who it may actually have been is obviously still in doubt but, one can rest assured that it won't be the last time that they try to take the Pirate Bay down. Furthermore, this effort continues in the vein of their latest strategy of trying to tie the Pirate Bay to child pornography, and effort which has succeeded in putting the Pirate Bay on the defensive and angering some for what they consider a lax content filtering system. The content which some objected to and to which links were posted in a related story submission to Digg.com were not child pornography but, rather were tasteless Lolita pics. The Pirate Bay summarily went to great lengths to remove some of this LEGAL content, though made it clear that no instance of child pornography can be found on the Pirate Bay. They noted that "...the things we have filtered out has been proven not to be child porn either." Moreover, the Pirate BAy intends to not take this whole smear campaign lying down and is currently contemplating filing charges against the law enforcement personnel responsible. Brokep writes: We are currently thinking about filing charges against the responsible police officer for slander or official misconduct, and we will continue to investigate the actions they have taken.Whether you agree with the Pirate Bay or not, the fact that they weren't even allowed their day in court is something that we all should find objectionable.

People, if you KNOW of child porn...I mean REAL child porn on the TPB...why not help out the admins and write them an email about it and include links to where exactly they are!
If it is true, I am sure they will take it down now that they have recived so much heat. I do not know if there is any on there or not, but if you know where it is...find irt and let the admins KNOW...at least then...they will have no excuse for not taking it down!
