Banned from Germany – had the “wrong” t-shirt

ROSTOCK. Tomas Eriksson, a lawyer, was heading for the alternative summit to attend seminars on migration and racism. He didn’t get further than the Rostock harbour. His girlfriends t-shirt from Piratbyrån prevented the journey from continuing.

The ferry from Trelleborg arrived at six. Tomas Eriksson and his girlfriend had plenty of time to make the seminar that started at nine. It was part of the so called alternative summit that the G8 protestors arranged and that was concluded on the Thursday.

Tomas Eriksson had brought pen and paper to write an article for the paper of the migration movement.

About thirty Swedes got off as pedestrians and all were searched. Tomas and his girlfriend was not allowed to continue, but was instead taken to the harbour police station. There they had to wait.

“They said my girlfriends t-shirt made them interested,” Tomas Eriksson tells.

It depicted a cassette tape crossed by two bones. It is printed by Piratbyrån, the organization working for free file-sharing and copying. The police had found it in her luggage.

Tomas Eriksson took out the brochure on the alternative summit to show them he had marked the seminars on racism and migration.

“That made them even more interested,” he says.

Then came the refusal of entry on a form with checkboxes. There box for “Threat to general order, domestic security, general health or international relations to one or several EU countries” was checked.

Tomas Eriksson tried to speak to the man who made the decision, but he refused. Instead, the couple was put on the first ferry back, that didn’t go to Trelleborg, but Gedser, Denmark. They then had to go to Uppsala with bus and train.

Tomas feels insulted and are going to appeal, although the seminars are over by long.

“First to the German administration court, probably in vain, then I go to the EU court. The handle process is eight years, but it’s worth it. I want some kind of redemption, I spent a lot of time and energy on this trip,” he says.

Piratebryan = TERRORIZTZ lol seriously that's pretty stupid.

That is about the stupidest excuse for banning someone from comming inbto a country that I can think of! A Piratbryan T-Shirt?? What's next? Someone who has a chimpanzee on their T-Shirt cannot come into the country? After all you know those chimps can be TERRORISTS! LOL!

I know after WW1 and WW2 they've pretty much been well behaved.... :)

wow. i didnt think germany was so.... retarded.

Interesting. Everyone knows that women with Piratbryan t-shirts are "easy". Germany is just trying to purify itself: maybe those hussies can be deported to Canada. ;)
