Lions Gate Films releases the bloodhounds to track down the culprits.
I’ve seen the Hostel 2 workprint up on private BitTorrent tracker sites for a few days now and didn’t really think much of it. I mean maybe it’s because I’m not a big blood and gore fan or maybe it’s just because it’s not a blockbuster movie like Star Wars 3 was. But, today when I read how Lions Gate Films was investigating how a workprint of Hostel 2 wound up on the streets it made me take notice.
The reason is is that it reminds me of the whole Stars Wars 3 ordeal a few years ago which resulted in the loss of my favorite private BitTorrent tracker site of all time – Elite Torrents.
In this case it was different, hitting the streets first and then the internet making it a head scratcher for sure but, maybe that was the game plan all along, making it so that the first or first several BitTorrent tracker sites to have it wouldn’t be outright targeted by law enforcement as was the case previous with Star Wars 3.
According to reports, a “flawless” bootleg copy was bought from a street vendor for $5 in the Santee Alley area in downtown Los Angeles and it has sparked an investigation by Lions Gate Films and the MPAA to track down who’s responsible.

heh i didnt get this from a public site anyone who downloads that from a public site is gotta be mesed up in the head they will be all over you about that. heh. yeah the blurred out stuf is a timer and framerate which is kinda annoying there is another version with that not blurred out but the numbers are much more annoying. i myself wait for a full r1 dvd for most stuff unless i really wanna see it then i wait for a great ts like a mvs release.
Lionsgate always made screeners and this was a workprint that they kept as a screener to send out to people or studio execs. You can see alot better releases and these dont end up on bit torrent. It started on the scene sites and usenet. People who are dumb enough to upload it to a public site will find out the hard way. Look here I prefer the R5 since they are cleaned up from the telecines that use to come out.

Cant really blame pirates this is an in house problem someone from the studio leaked it.
Have it burnt it havent watched it yet.. It has blurred out water marks through out it. Its not what i call watchable.. But its still better then a cam.

Yeah I’m not a fan of the movie either but it’s still funny that even after all the money the MPAA is shitting the pirates are still 2 steps ahead.
hehe gotta love those pirates they released this 9-10 days before its set release. its still not supposed to come out till june 8th… lol i think just to be safe ill delete the torrent for that file on my computer… i dont even like hostel its not my kind of movie. i just got it for nostalgia.
