List of other available BitTorrent tracker sites to use now that Mininova has decided to remove torrents that link to copyrighted material in order to comply with a court order from last August.
Thanksgiving day was anything but festive after Dutch BitTorrent tracker site Mininova announced it would immediately delete torrents that linked to copyrighted material and would henceforth limit content to only that which is offered on its legitimate Content Distribution service.
The decision was made in order to comply with a Dutch court ruling from last August whereby the Utrecht Court ordered the site to remove all torrent trackers that link to copyrighted material or face fines of €1000 euro ($1,422 USD) per link up to a maximum of 5 million euro (7.13m USD).
It left many frequent users of the site looking for alternatives, and so in the spirit of a previous guide – 5 Alternatives to The Pirate Bay – I decided to compile a handful of some of the more popular ones from our extensive list of BitTorrent tracker sites.

Yeah, now they are playing by the rules, and in this day and age, that leaves a lot to be desired. Alternative torrent sites exist, some better than others, but beware of “tons” of advertisement sites with popups, they normally contain tracker cookies, spyware and other malicious software.

speed.cd is one of the best torrent site there is, it has the fastest download and speed when it comes downloading a movie that you want to watch the same day. the community and the forums are great and the staff are always helpfull.
1337x is a great site. I use their trackers on all my releases, cause it’s reliable. Another one you should mention is our home site, http://extratorrent.com , we have a nice tracker and a great community too. 1337x though, has been great to us for a long time and I have alot of friends there. Great work on getting the nod guys!
