Electronics giant Sony has sparked a major row over animal cruelty and the ethics of the computer industry by using a freshly slaughtered goat to promote a violent video game.
The corpse of the decapitated animal was the centrepiece of a party to celebrate the launch of the God Of War II game for the company’s PlayStation 2 console.
Guests at the event were even invited to reach inside the goat’s still-warm carcass to eat offal from its stomach.
Sickening images of the party have appeared in the company’s official PlayStation magazine – but after being contacted by The Mail on Sunday, Sony issued an apology for the gruesome stunt and promised to recall the entire print run.

Sounds like Boycott time
The story is not completely accurate Sony released a statement today explaining what happened at the event. No one was allowed to touch the goat at the event it was dead before arrival and it was slaughtered by a qualified butcher that specialized in Greek cuts. The part that is true is that it was on display at the event decapitated and all. So this was still very cruel and gruesome just not quite to the level this article portrays it. Still Sony should not be killing animals for their marketing events and I think that is what will bring on a boycott.

i find this offencive and funny.
mostly funny.
Well too boat they had topless broads running around so taken in context of a dead goat(pre-slaughtered or not) it just comes off as tasteless. Though I must admit I would’ve liked to have been there.
