I'm concerned about this too, I like to rip my DVD's onto my PC, since I own the originals. I programmed an application which lets you organise video files and gain control over your content, turning your PC into an interactive home cinema.

I think it's the format that's appealing to people, not the fact that it's free - althought that is a bonus. Most people don't mind paying a reasonable amount of money for a DVD or CD if they really enjoy the product.

Computers aren't the future any more - they're the present, and companies need to evolve. Why go out and hunt for DVD's when you can search on your internet and download a movie in a few hours ??

I agree, the solution is to change the medium - offer a similar service to i-Tunes. I'm hoping to incorporate this myself into my software if I raise enough money to advertise and integrate it into my applications !

Peace ^_^

Looks like a change in attitude since they signed that memorendum of understanding BS several months ago. I wonder how many other countries suddenly have a previously unknown copyright group demanding that the country defy the wishes of the European Parliament and implement 3 strikes law as seen in France.
