The Senate version of the same bill, SB 1004, will be heard in the NC Senate Commerce Committee Thursday morning at 8am. That's right. Three hours earlier than their normal meeting time. We'll be there, but the crowd will be smaller because no one knew about it. That is, except the cable company. When I called one of the lawmakers to confirm the time, the assistant handed the phone to an employee from Time Warner. I couldn't believe it. No rest for the weary.
