Or for example, at least in the US, try finding where how to apply for federal student funds. Its practically impossible without the Internet. The yellow pages, which is fairly extinct, just doesnt cut it. @MR

By banning people from the internet for taking part in an act that has become socially accepted, you are condemning them to obscurity. The only place that tree strikes could justifiably applied would be to ban people from the p2p protocol for a set length of time.
