Wow…y’all seem pretty grumpy about the prospect of PAYING for music. And don’t get me wrong, I’m all about free music. But why do you guys need to attack the Monkeys so acrimoniously? This is these guys’ living. They want to survive from the proceeds of their music so that they can keep doing it all day everyday to bring great shows and recordings to the audience. Why shouldn’t they eat? Crimony.

I’m guessing that it may be the executives making the decision rather then the artist. The reason I think this is that artist usually don’t make all that much money off their albums their profits are in concerts and merchandise so they would still be making allot of money from those sources. Chances are the executives who profit greatly from record sales made the decision to make the money. Thats not to say they are not responsible if they did not make the decision they should be standing up for their fans and that is inexcusable.

Exactly. AT what point does an artist have the responsibility to say “Hey that aint cool?” Just because its not necessarily your choice doesnt mean u get a free pass to be quiet and say nothing ESPECIALLY IF ITS HOW YOU MADE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!

EVery other artist has their shit on P2P and they seem to be doing just fine Have yet to see pics of Christina Aguilera standing in a soup line.

When it comes down to it its the fact that P2P made them what they are and now their handlers are putting the smack down on it. Just bad for their image if anything but I guess their too big of rick stars to care. I wonder if one of them will now be the new Lars Ulrich.

I hope the new album sucks and they have to beg people to toss it up on BitTorrent.
