Did you know Bit Torrent bought in to establish their relationship with Warner Brothers? Bit Torrent and Azaureus are hampered in that their technology also serves extra-curricualar filesharing. The studios always move slow so they are making limited deals until something better comes along. Specifically the studios have always controlled distribution and will look for a way to do this as opposed to having to go thru third parties. Look for innovative companies like Solid State to pick up the slack soon in the pay for download business. My prediction is that we are involving into a short-term two-tier system: one for those who pay which of the entertainment business was smart should rguarantee faster better quality and cheaper downloads-- versus the free system where quality isn't guaranteed and time convenience isnt an issue. The end game will be a system in which people get anything they want for a cheap price...but it will take awhile for the entertainment business to wake up for that.
