This week Sony released the new Celine Dion CD in Europe with Key2Audio copy-protection software to prevent the audio CD from even being played in a PC or Mac CD-ROM drive. It seems that the only way to circumvent Key2Audio copy-protection out there is to buy an adapter chord that will enable you to play something on your CD player and record it onto your PC. It’s a chord with a red and white adaptor on each end that is available from stores such as ‘Radio Shack’. Taken from here
Most other forms of Copy Protection enable you to insert the CD on your PC. If you can do this then you should be able to Copy the CD using any software that supports CD 2 CD Copying in ‘Raw mode’ such as Clone CD. You should also be able to rip it using Free RIP. Alternatively some of methods here should work or you could simply download the tracks from any file sharing program. Remember, You have a right to make personal copies of CD’s you buy and everything that can be played can be recorded.
