According to a recent report from Statistics Sweden, SCB, one in five of Swedish internet users, about 1.3 million people, has used a P2P file-sharing program at least once in their lives,
The survey was part of a study to look into the online habits of Swedish internet users..
E-mail and news were the number one choices of course for going online but, downloading music, games, and films for free was one of the top choices as well, and was most popular among men ages 16-34.
This news comes despite the fact that the sharing of copyrighted material online was made illegal in Sweden last year, reportedly at the behest of the MPAA and RIAA.
It also occurs amid recent reports that suggest some 53% of internet users in Australia regularly use P2P file-sharing applications.
