Its much stronger and versatile more expensive but theres no that much material going into this anyway. It also wont protect your Ipod from the gforces of a fall. I ended up getting the matias armor simply because it stayed true to the color of my ipod and I had a gift certificate for best buy. After looking around I ended up deciding between the over priced matias armor and the overpriced tough skin. The biggest beef I have with the matias armor is no cover for the usb connector and no protection for the scroll wheel otherwise its well built. Those are the features I found nice in the tough skin. Now the tough skins were not sold at best buy and dulled the color. I also found the ifrogz online but since I would have to order them without seeing what it was like I decided to opt out. I think it's great that you let everyone know about your personal experience with the armor. Do you think they should add a temporary type cover for the USB? Just something simple to keep the dust out when you are carrying your ipod in your pocket. I also noticed when charging the battery gets hot in the case but that happens with all cases. Company's should start putting vent holes in the cases because if it gets hot when charging your battery life suffers.. Its still a really good product just things that would have made it perfect.
