I use eMulePlus on the edonkey network but that might an extreme change for those of you who enjoy the speed of bittorrent.

Why are peopel complaining before they ruin the client? Use it until they ruin it. Comspariests won't gain anything by switching clients because Utorrent sends info to bit torrent inc who in turn sends data to MPAA omygod omygod omygod~
Anyways just keep using Utorrent like normal nothing has changed accept the paranoid thinking people comming out of the darkness.

so what are you saying serrebi? that its ok for private organizations to know what we are downloading? or are you saying that its ok that a private organization that wants our heads on pikes will be getting that info? worse still it would be foreseeable that anyone who connects to a utorrent client with any other client could have their info snatched and that would end up just as bad!

the more i think about it the more it sounds like the beginning of the end for bittorrent's chapter in p2p history.

yep I was thinking the same thing Signa......we still have Azureus but certainly this means uTorrent is going legit how can BitTorrent Inc OWN and support something that enables piracy?

sigh.... It's not like it's going to be turned into a ip colection. Stop being so paranoid and look at this from a reality ba<x>sed viewpoint. THey will never be collecting data on waht your downloading stop being so paranoid. If you have stopped using utorrent because of this you should really reconsider. Until they include some form of drm or filtering mechanism I"d keep using it. NO agency will have access to what your downloading at all and I don't know where your getting that from this article sounds like paranoya.

Like Soulxtc said. Keep your Azureus 2.5 installer. And in case you didn't you can still download it. Glad I never started using uTorrent so not really any loss to me.

Just wait patiently for another client and start sharing legit files as well as those not so legit.

Thank God I don't live in one of those anti-P2P countries

Also we all still have our collections right ;)

oh im still using utorrent. but youre making this sound like no big deal when i think it is going to be a very big deal in the end. and why cant they make it collect ips? it wouldnt take much more than a suggestion/bribe from one of their affiliates.

I agree with a few point here....I agree that eventually uTorrent will be trashed but I definately do NOT see it as the end of bittorrent as a whole. People will move on to new trackers and new clients with old plans in mind...to download what they came for.
