Bram Cohen of BitTorrent Staying Put

There’s little doubt that BitTorrent, Inc is growing with astounding gust, thanks in part to its robust file-sharing application. With this rapid change is the arrival of dozens of independent and mainstream artists distributing work and taking advantage of the BitTorrent protocol. One change that has the BitTorrent community stumped is the reported departure of Bram Cohen from BitTorrent, Inc.

Bram Cohen as many already know is the founder and CEO of BitTorrent, Inc. Released in 2002, BitTorrent has quickly become the de facto standard of file-sharing. Without it, millions of otherwise information hungry netizens may still be using FastTrack to this very day.

Considering the amount of years, creative planning and brain power required to sustain BitTorrent, it appears inconceivable that Bram Cohen would leave the very creation that has revolutionized the way people trade information.
