BT one of the largest ISPs in the UK (and the company that owns nearly all the phone lines that DSL goes through hence having essentially had a monopoly on DSL at the beginning)

[b]throttles P2P bandwidth by nearly 95%[/b] going from 8mbits down to just 0.5 on all of their packages. This is done on a sliding scale without notifying the customer and their only defence is that they write that they &quot;reserve the right to&quot; in a tiny line in their T&amp;Cs.</description>
