Apple Files Patents For iPhones

Apple could roll out two iPhone models early next year, according to several media reports citing patent filings and an analyst’s inside information.

Forbes has reported that Prudential Equity Group analyst Jesse Tortora said “recent checks” lead him to believe the company will sell a smart phone and a music phone as early as January 2007. Forbes reported that Tortora said one would include wireless connectivity.

AppleInsider said the company filed for a trademark in a “Southeast Asian country” Sept. 15. Macworld had similar reports.
