Is friendly file sharing the future?

None of us here at Stuff would ever dream of using illegal file sharing programs, which is why we’re so excited about a new gizmo called OnShare, that may just be what the flagging P2P arena has been crying out for.

Ex-military tech maestros have developed a way to tunnel deep into the guts of Windows and create a program that allows file sharing as if on a private network. It works via an MSN-like chat application with the added feature of being able to browse the files your friends have chosen to share with you, directly from their hard drives.

One of the coolest features is the ability to share stuff with yourself, and then log onto your own computer from other locations and access the entire contents of your hard drive.
