There’s a short anti-piracy blurb on the Side Line web-site that’s rather interesting. It’s a snip from a published letter from the band, Pet Shop Boys It reads:
In a message on the official Pet Shop Boys webpage, Neil Tennant says he resents musical piracy on the internet. Neil: “As a recording artist it takes away your decision making about when you want your record released. You can’t make an event of releasing a single anymore.” The band’s whole album is on the internet in various forms. “I resent that”, says Tennant, “the internet has developed as a very quick and clever way of stealing music.”
I guess they’re kind of pissed.
