URLBlaze is somewhat different “file sharing” application because instead of sharing the files from your HD it shares the location of the file on the Internet and the location of the page that links to the file. This makes URLBlaze legal and at the same time help you all finding any kind of file (MP3, Movies, Pics, Appz etc.). Also the advantages of downloading files with a download manager are well known (Fast, reliable, no disconnections etc..)
One of the features URLBlaze is excellence for is mirror searching. If you KNOW the file name than most of the time URLBlaze can help you find the direct link to it.
I released URLBlaze 6 month ago and the network is growing rapidly. Still many people fear or don’t understand the concept, but I trust in time they will.
Meanwhile I released version 2.7 that is the last step before V.3.
Among the new features:
- File Preview – Now you can preview files before downloading them (JPG/GIF/MP3/MPEG/WAV/TEXT/ETC).
- URLBlaze now logs more information about downloaded files for better search results.
- URLBlaze Logs URLs you copy to the clipboard
- File Size-sorting bug fixed
- Many minor bugs fixed.
- And MOST important, Computers behind firewall are now also sharing their URLs.
This version is somewhat of a preview to version 3, I just wanted to test the new features. Computers behind firewalls that don’t allow incoming data on URLBlaze port will not be able to search on the P2P community, they will receive results only from the multi web-based search.
Version 3, will allow searching even if you are behind the toughest proxy/firewall.
I am only one developer so it takes time to test and design new features.
URLBlaze contains no spyware and is completly FREE – like I beleive everything on the net should be.
URLBlaze forums are packed with appz/movies etc…
